What a surprise! Everything covered with snow! I felt cold in the butts1 yesterday there was nothing to suggest the possibility of snow at all. It rained during the night + the snow only began at 6.30. It soon turned to rain which fell all day + most of the snow disappeared. I motored in the town + over to Synton Mill to see James Elliot2 . Drew £200 from Muir & Graham3 being still £180. 12. 10 still owing me from last year. Dav.4 + I divided £2101: 4 : 8. Chas Dunlop5 very kindly sent me a brace of Black …6 from yesterday’s bag.
